Helping Bahrain's Largest Solar EPC Win a 50 MW Tender
Client: Almoayyed Solar, Bahrain
Location: University of Bahrain
Project Type: 50 MW ground mount and solar carports
About the Client
Almoayyed Solar is the largest solar EPC company in Bahrain. One of the largest and oldest business groups in Bahrain with businesses in Automotives, Electrical Contracting, IT, etc., They handle large-scale rooftop and ground mount solar projects across the country.
The Challenge
The University of Bahrain issued a tender for a 50 MW solar project. The scope was complex. It included both ground-mounted systems and solar carports across the university campus. The tender documentation was extensive, covering technical design, vendor selection, pricing, bill of quantities, and compliance requirements.
Almoayyed Solar had the execution capability. What they needed was support in breaking down the tender requirements, building a structured bid response, and identifying specialized vendors for components that aren’t easy to source in the region.
What We Delivered
We worked alongside the Almoayyed Solar team to prepare a complete, competitive bid response.
Tender analysis and bid strategy. We went through the full tender documentation, identified key requirements, and helped structure a clear response strategy. We made sure nothing was missed and every section was addressed properly.
Preliminary design. We prepared initial system designs covering both the ground mount and carport sections of the project, with layouts and sizing to support the technical submission.
Vendor identification and connections. We connected Almoayyed Solar with specialized vendors for mounting structures, civil foundations, SCADA systems, and module cleaning systems. These were vendors with the right capabilities who were not easily available in the Bahrain market. Our network gave them access to the right suppliers quickly.
Documentation and BoQ/BoM. We helped prepare the bill of quantities, bill of materials, and pricing estimates needed for the tender submission.
Timeline management. We planned the bid preparation schedule upfront and delivered every component on time. No last-minute scrambles.
