Engineering Packages for Australian Solar Installers, at a Fraction of the Cost

Clients: Multiple clients across Australia.

Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Australia

Project Type: Rooftop solar, Residential and C&I

About the Client

Aureus Energy, Enervest Solar and a few other organisations are Australia based solar EPC installers spread across Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. They serve residential and commercial customers across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

The Challenge

BThese companies had the same problem. They needed detailed engineering packages for their projects, but their in-house teams didn’t have the bandwidth.

Hiring additional engineers in Australia was expensive. Finding ones who knew the specific documentation requirements of distribution network operators like Jemena, Powercor, and AusNet was harder.

They needed accurate, standards-compliant design packages. Fast. Without the overhead of growing their engineering teams.

What We Delivered

Enervest Australia Engineering Design
Enervest Australia Engineering Design

We became the remote engineering team for both companies. We delivered complete design-to-approval packages for 8+ rooftop solar projects ranging from 120 kW to 800 kW. Every deliverable was built to Australian Standards and formatted for the specific distribution network operator on that project.

System design and layout. Site-specific solar PV layouts with panel placement, orientation, and spacing optimized for each rooftop.

Electrical engineering. Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), DC and AC cable layouts, cable sizing and loss calculations, voltage rise calculations, and earthing designs.

Energy yield assessments. Generation analysis and performance estimates for each site. This data fed directly into client proposals and network applications.

Network-ready documentation. All drawings and reports formatted for submission to Jemena, Powercor, AusNet, and other network operators. No rework. No rejections at the approval stage.

Significant vs. hiring locally

Australian Standards, network-operator specific formats

Why It Worked

The cost savings compared to local hiring were substantial. But the real value was accuracy. Every package was done right the first time, in the exact format network operators required. No rework or back-and-forth. These companies could take on more cost competitive projects without engineering becoming a bottleneck.
